Teddi's Carries a Stick

Teddy feels his best when he is carrying a stick on his walk. Any stick will do. Even and stick that is larger than him. Sometime he finds a short fat chunky stick and it looks like he is carrying a cigar.

Teddy's Pen

It's amazing how a puppy adjusts to pen training. Teddy know that the pen or crate is his space. A lot times he will go into his pen and take a nap. He practically jumps into his pen when you give him a doggie treat. He is always happy when we come home and wants to be let out, however, in general I believe he really enjoys his pen.

Puppy Foder

Nothing more exciting for Teddy than when one of the cats decides to come into the kitchen. Max is the bravest cat, Riley will tend to bail very quickly. Teddy doesn't understand why the cats don't want to stay and play.

Teddi's New Do' - The Curse of the Blue Bow

Teddi's hair started to get really long and shaggy (he couldn't even barely see out of his eyes!). So we took him to the groomers 'Pampered Pets' to have a bath and a trim. We had bought clippers to try and groom him ourselves, but he wouldn't have anything to do with that. So we dropped him off at about 2 on a Tuesday and were able to pick him up at about 4.
When we picked him up, he was in a little pen and rattling against the bars. He didn't want to be in that pen. The lady took him out and handed him to us. He was very nicely trimmed- and she had put a little blue bow on his forehead! He looked so cute.
Later, he rubbed out that bow, but he still looks cute with his hair cut.

Teddi- the one-puppy greeting commitee

When someone comes home, like dad or something, teddi goes nuts. He goes crazy and jumps all over the place and barks. And when the person comes in the door, he jumps all over them and yips and waits to get pet.

Vet~ Teddi no likee.

Teddi had to go to the vet to get a shot, get his nails clipped, and have a liquid shoved up his nose. The vet started with trying to to clip Teddi's nails. Well, that did not work out. So the vet had to call in another lady to hold Teddi down while the vet clipped his nails. They had to do the same thing with the shot. But the lady didn't have to hold Teddi when they put the liquid (it was like a cold medecine so that he could go to Puppy Kindergarten.) in his nose. He does not like the vet.

Clippers~ think again, idiot.

We bought electronic clippers at a store and tried to trim Teddi with them. He was very afraid of the noise. He was running away from it and kept going away until we finally got fed up with trying to carch him.
We finally gave up and decided to take him to a groomers.

Wet willies brought to you by Teddi

If you hold Teddi on your shoulder, he will lick right inside your ear. He likes to just keep licking. And if you're cold, it will make you all warm and tingly inside. You will feel all wet and slimy but it's a good feeling. It's really sweet.
It's fun to hold him up to someone and have him lick their ear without them knowing. I did it to someone earlier and it was so fun to watch his face.

A new bed!

A new bed.

We are crate training Teddi, he seems to really like it and views it as his room.  He will go into his crates on his own and go to sleep.  The other day my wife bought him a new bed.  It is a typical dog bed with a cushion inside of a little basket.  However, the first few days Teddi didn’t really know what is was.  We would put him in the basket and he would quickly jump out of the basket.   One day my daughter put Teddi in his new bed and started to pet him.  He calmed down and fell asleep.  From that day on he was use to his bed and would use it on his own.

Afraid of the dark

Afraid of the dark!

Now that it is getting into the fall.  We have to take Teddi out in the dark in the mornings and at night.  It turns out that he is afraid of the dark.  You take him out to go potty and he starts to freak out because he thinks he sees things in the backyard.  We turn all the lights on in the back and sometimes it just does help.

New toys!

Teddi got some new toys today. Our first dog Tobie really like to chase a tennis ball, however, our current dog Pepper was never really interested. Teddi seemed to be a natural fetcher. He would fetch his rope toy however he had never played with a ball before. My wife bought him some mini tennis balls for him. Teddi was so excited about the new toys but I don't know if he really new what they they were. It didn't take him log to pick it up and soon he was bringing back the mini tennis ball.

Worms!

Unfortunately Teddi has discover the worms are a delicacy according to his taste. Sometimes when we let him out we will work with him off leash. He immediately proceeds to the driveway or the garage to find a dead dried worm to eat. Nothing we can do stops him from wanting to eat worms.

Ah quiet nights!

Teddi started to sleep through the night. My wife talked to the vet and he suggested that we put his pen into one of the kids rooms. It worked out, he slept through the night and was quiet.
